POSTECH 융합대학원 인공지능융합전공(AX 대학원)은 산업 전반의 AI 전환을 이끌 융합형 인재를 양성하기 위해 2026년 7월 신설되었습니다. AI 핵심기술을 로봇·팩토리 및 첨단제조 분야와 결합하고, 기업 연계 프로젝트를 통해 실제 산업 문제를 해결하는 교육과 연구를 수행합니다. 신동일 교수님은 2026년 9월부터 로봇 트랙 전임교원으로 참여하여 물리 기반 AI와 지능형 설계·시뮬레이션 연구 및 인재 양성에 기여할 예정입니다.  

POSTECH established the Major in Applied Artificial Intelligence, also known as the AX Graduate School, in July 2026 to train experts who can lead AI transformation across industries. The program connects core AI technologies with robotics, smart factories, and advanced manufacturing through industry-linked projects. Starting in September 2026, Prof. Dongil Shin joined the Robotics Track as a full-time faculty member, contributing to physics-based AI, intelligent design, and simulation research.
